Peter Hawthorne is an Operating Director at Paine Schwartz Partners.

Peter brings more than 35 years of experience in global agribusiness, food, and related industrial, logistics, financial, and tech spaces. He is currently Managing Partner of P.Chandler Partners, a strategic, investment, and governance advisory firm. Peter spent 25 years at Cargill, an ag food company with $115 billion revenue, 155,000 employees, and operations in 70 countries. At Cargill, he led emerging businesses, Asia Pacific strategy and business development, and global corporate development where he oversaw $35 billion in transactions, led the formation of JV’s in 20 countries, and chaired the boards of three of Cargill’s largest JV’s – Ardent Mills, NatureWorks, and North Star BlueScope Steel.
